Santa’s Cottage is a popular event in Westlake Village that’s being held at The Promenade at Westlake. This lovely cottage is outfitted to appear exactly like what you would expect to see in the North Pole. While walk-ups are welcome, it’s possible that you will need to wait to take a picture with Santa. There are three photo packages that you can purchase if you want a more personalized photo. Package B costs $40 and provides you with a magnetic frame alongside an email link to all of your images. With Package A, you can spend $55 for an email link to images and video of Santa along with three photos of different sizes. The VIP package comes in at $75 and includes everything in Package A. You’ll also receive a choice of photo sizes along with two ornaments for your tree.

2. Holiday Fun at Malibu Country Mart

The Holiday Fun event is being held at the Malibu Country Mart and includes four hours of fun and festive activities for all who attend. During the event, there will be numerous arts and crafts going on that you can participate in. Live carolers are set to entertain attendees, which is the perfect backdrop for the event. If you want to mark the occasion, take a picture with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. If you attend on December 15, you’ll be able to see a ice sculpture artist in action. On December 22, live reindeer will be on hand that you can pet and take pictures with. All aspects of the event are free.

3. Holiday Sing-Along Family Event at The Shoppes at Westlake

The Holiday Sing-Along Family Event is scheduled to take place at The Shoppes at Westlake, which is among the most popular shopping centers in Westlake Village. This event has been going on for four years and is held in the main Fountain Courtyard area. The actual sing-along is sponsored by numerous local organizations and businesses.

The Agoura High School Choir will be conducting the sign-along with the help of a live band. While the sing-a-long is set to take place from 4PM-5:15PM, several additional activities are also scheduled between 3PM-6PM, which include pictures with Santa, pictures with Frozen characters Anna and Elsa, and a cupcake and cookie decorating station. While the cost of this event is free, you can make a donation of an unwrapped toy or can of food.

Date and time: December 8 from 3PM-6PM. The sing-a-long takes places from 4PM-5:15PM.

4. Ventura Winter Wine Walk and Holiday Street Fair

The Ventura Winter Wine Walk and Holiday Street Fair are two events taking place in the same location and on the same day, which gives you a lot to look forward to if you’re thinking about attending the event. The holiday street fair lasts for the entire afternoon and evening, during which you’ll have access to dozens of fantastic vendors. These vendors include artists and food vendors. Live music is set to be played throughout the entire event, which should do well to set the mood. Don’t miss out on the snowfall from 6:45PM-8PM. As for the Wine Walk, this event lasts from 4PM-7PM and provides attendees with a showcase of world-class breweries and wineries. If you want to partake in the wine tasting, tickets cost $55.

5. 70th Annual Santa Paula Christmas Parade

The Santa Paula Christmas Parade is a storied tradition for residents of Santa Paula that has been going on for 70 years. This parade begins on 7th street and ends at 11th street, during which you’ll be able to view hundreds of amazing parade floats, classic cars, and marching bands. Santa Claus will also be there to greet visitors and mark the beginning of the holiday season. This also happens to be the first nighttime parade that’s being held in Santa Paula for decades.

6. 43rd Annual Ventura Harbor Holiday Parade of Lights

The Ventura Harbor Holiday Parade of Lights is a festive event that provides visitors with a delightful boat parade and fireworks display. If you’re bringing your children, you can also arrive early to the event to spend time on some kids rides and a large Ferris wheel. Free photos with Santa Claus are available in the hour preceding the main event. While you’re there, meet holiday characters, pet live reindeer, take pictures in a faux snowfall, and do some holiday gift shopping. The cost of the event and parking is free.

7. Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration in Calabasas

The Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration is a great event that’s set to take place at The Commons at Calabasas, which is a highly popular shopping mall. Along with the menorah lighting, visitors will also be provided with delicious food, live music, and other fun surprises. This event is free to all visitors.

8. 69th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Oxnard

The 69th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is an annual tradition in Oxnard that involves the lighting of a Christmas tree that stands at 110-feet high. Throughout the event, you’ll be able to listen to live music while enjoying some delicious food and complimentary refreshments from Downtown merchants and vendors. Santa Claus will also be there to greet all visitors. The entire event is free.

9. 57th Annual Camarillo Christmas Parade

The 57th Annual Camarillo Christmas Parade is a highly popular parade that runs from Las Posas Rd. to the Community Center. During the parade, you’ll have the chance to see hundreds of unique parade entries that include floats, horses, marching bands, cars, and Santa in a sleigh. At the conclusion of the parade, you can step into the Community Center for Santa’s Village, which runs for two hours after the end of the parade. At the Community Center, you can get in some shopping, eat some food, enjoy live music, and take a picture with Santa. Both of these events are free.

Date and time: December 14 from 10AM-12PM. Santa’s Village is open from 9AM-2PM.

10. Jingle Bell Jump 2019

The Jingle Bell Jump is an annual event at the Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks that provides families with a wide range of fun games, exciting activities, and spectacular Black Friday deals to enjoy. This event kicks off at 12PM, during which Santa Claus will arrive by parachute. The event is free for everyone who wants to attend. During the event, you’ll be able to go on train rides, enjoy story-time with Mrs. Claus, partake in some craft activities, and win prizes.

11. Santa to the Sea Half Marathon and 5K in Oxnard

Santa to the Sea is the perfect event for anyone who wants to get in some exercise during the holiday season. Along with the primary half marathon that you’ll be able to run, you’ll also get the opportunity to participate in a 5K run, a 2-person relay race, and a 1K fun run, the latter of which is designed specifically for younger children. The half marathon begins at the famous Santa Claus statue and continues through the beautiful strawberry fields.

You’ll also run through Candy Cane Lane before finishing the race at the Marine Emporium Landing. A finish-line festival is available at the conclusion of this race, which provides attendees with costume contests, a Santa’s Village, live entertainment, and food booths. Registration is $110 for the half marathon, $60 for the 5K race, and $15 for the 1K fun run.

The Camarillo Old Town Winter Walk & Tree Lighting is a popular event that mainly focuses on the beauty of the Old Town Camarillo District. The evening begins with a tree-lighting ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce Building. Afterwards, you’ll walk down to the Studio Channel Islands Art Studios where 30 tons of snow will be spread out and falling from the skies, which should perfectly set the scene for the rest of the event. A train and reindeer will also be at the location, which offers up some fantastic photo-taking opportunities with your family. This event is free for everyone.
