This past Thursday, Nicki & Karen Southern California Luxury Real Estate hosted a booth at the Summer Movies on the Lawn at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks. The event has been a huge success with over 300 residents and visitors having showed up to enjoy a family-fun night on the lawn!
Attendees enjoyed watching a variety of Disney favorite films that include such titles as Coco, Moana, and the upcoming Finding Nemo showing, the latter of which will be shown in early August. This event is great for all ages, providing you with the ability to have fun with the entire family at a scenic location with a cozy atmosphere.
Summer Movies on the Lawn in Thousand Oaks
Summer Movies on the Lawn is a fantastic series of events that offers fun for the whole family by providing visitors with the ability to watch some amazing movies at the sprawling lawn just outside of The Lakes at Thousand Oaks shopping center. The series is represented by our very own Compass firm and is available for four weeks beginning in July and ending in early August. These movies are presented to visitors every Thursday with the initial two being Coco and Moana, which were viewed on the 19th and 26th respectively. The next two films that round out the series for this year include Wonder Woman on the 2nd of August and Finding Nemo on the 9th of August, which provides you with a wide range of different types of films to enjoy.
A notable aspect of this event that you should keep in mind if you’re considering attending the next one is that admission to the event is free and those who attend are provided with blankets to make the viewing cozy and enjoyable for all. The blankets are useful given the fact that you will be sitting on the lush (and still comfortable) grass while watching the film. The grassy area is a large and open space that is finely trimmed, which means that it won’t cause issues when you’re sitting there for a couple of hours.
The movie will typically start right around sundown, which means that you should have some gorgeous views of the surrounding areas when you visit. People who have attended this event love the grassy area where the viewings are held as well as the fact that blankets are provided. They have also really enjoyed the movies that have been shown so far and believe that the location is fantastic since the lawn is located just beside The Lakes shopping center as well as an array of additional hotspots in and around Thousand Oaks.
The Lakes is an outdoor mall that plays to a variety of restaurants and shopping destinations. The Lassens Natural Foods & Vitamins is a grocery store that is focused 100 percent on organic foods and vitamins while also providing a full-service deli that is open for lunch and dinner. This deli offers a variety of dinner specials on Thursday nights during and after the Summer Movies on the Lawn event.
Some other restaurants that you may want to consider dining at during your time at The Lakes include P.F. Chang’s, Umami Burger, and Sabor Cocina Mexicana. The selection of shops at The lakes extend from Kalologie Skincare to Drenched Fitness. Just nearby this shopping center are such exciting destinations as the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and The Promenade at Westlake, the latter of which is another popular shopping center in the area.
When you are considering attending one of these events, check-in starts at 6:30PM with available seating areas being first come, first serve. Although check-in starts at this time, it’s important to be aware of the fact that the movies don’t usually begin until it becomes dark, which is typically around 7:45PM.
When setting out to The Lakes at Thousand Oaks, this venue can be found at 2200 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Parking options are located at the large lot situated behind the shopping center. Multiple entrances and exits to the parking lot are located on both Thousand Oaks Blvd. and South Conejo School Road. If you’re traveling from nearby and are driving down Ventura Fwy., you can take the exit that leads to the South Conejo School Road. You can either enter the parking lot to the left or wait until you turn left onto Thousand Oaks Blvd. and enter from there.
Hosted by Compass
The Summer Movies on the Lawn series is hosted by Compass, which is a renowned real estate firm that aims to meld the latest technology with the home buying and selling process as a means of simplifying this process. Compass believes that making use of the latest technology allows them to offer more accurate and effective real estate insights for agents, buyers, and sellers that will minimize mistakes and allow for the purchase of a home that matches the client’s needs.
We use this technology and the tools available to us to surpass the offerings of traditional real estate brokerages. To ensure that their process is more effective than the competition, they focus on partnering with the top 10 percent of agents in the country, which is achieved through a very selective hiring process. Agents who join Compass have seen an average business growth of around 25 percent in a single year, which indicates that the methods are obtaining the right results.
Compass has recently entered the local market in Southern California and have quickly become the leading brokerage in Thousand Oaks real estate as well as one of the most influential real estate brokerages in the country. The types of technology they use focus primarily on marketing and analytics that will allow agents, buyers, and sellers to gain more knowledge about the properties they’re searching for.
Some of the analytics tools available for agents are able to track total listing views, the average time spent looking at the property, and the amount of new visitors to the listing. The Compass Collections tool that our firm offers provides agents and clients with a unique visual workspace that is similar in nature to Pinterest. From here, agents and clients are able to look at photos of the property, see any price updates in real time, and keep track of the current housing market.
When you’re selling your property, the tools and technology provided by Nicki & Karen Compass can be beneficial in a variety of ways. The analytical tools at your disposal will allow you to obtain up-to-date information regarding your home and its value, providing you with the means of listing the property at a price that’s competitive and will pique the interests of prospective home buyers. The tools are also very easy to use and come with an interface that makes the dashboard simple to navigate. Although the analytic and marketing tools are primary designed to be used by real estate agents who have partnered with Compass, you as the buyer will also be able to view and monitor the real estate market in order to better understand current trends within that market.
As for real estate agents, the benefits provided to these agents are passed onto their clients, which means that selling your home or buying a new one will be made simpler with the assistance of our partnership with Compass. When looking at the marketing efforts provided by Compass, it’s estimated that the click-through rates with Compass listings are 8x greater than the click-through rates found with the industry average. The average monthly views per each listing on the Compass website is around 20,000, which is a very high in relation to competitors.
