This past Thursday, Nicki & Karen Southern California Luxury Real Estate hosted a booth at the Summer Movies on the Lawn at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks. The event has been a huge success with over 300 residents and visitors having showed up to enjoy a family-fun night on the lawn!
Attendees enjoyed watching a variety of Disney favorite films that include such titles as Coco, Moana, and the upcoming Finding Nemo showing, the latter of which will be shown in early August. This event is great for all ages, providing you with the ability to have fun with the entire family at a scenic location with a cozy atmosphere.
Summer Movies on the Lawn in Thousand Oaks
Summer Movies on the Lawn is a fantastic series of events that offers fun for the whole family by providing visitors with the ability to watch some amazing movies at the sprawling lawn just outside of The Lakes at Thousand Oaks shopping center. The series is represented by our very own Compass firm and is available for four weeks beginning in July and ending in early August. These movies are presented to visitors every Thursday with the initial two being Coco and Moana, which were viewed on the 19th and 26th respectively. The next two films that round out the series for this year include Wonder Woman on the 2nd of August and Finding Nemo on the 9th of August, which provides you with a wide range of different types of films to enjoy.
A notable aspect of this event that you should keep in mind if you’re considering attending the next one is that admission to the event is free and those who attend are provided with blankets to make the viewing cozy and enjoyable for all. The blankets are useful given the fact that you will be sitting on the lush (and still comfortable) grass while watching the film. The grassy area is a large and open space that is finely trimmed, which means that it won’t cause issues when you’re sitting there for a couple of hours.
The movie will typically start right around sundown, which means that you should have some gorgeous views of the surrounding areas when you visit. People who have attended this event love the grassy area where the viewings are held as well as the fact that blankets are provided. The selection of shops at The lakes extend from Kalologie Skincare to Drenched Fitness. Just nearby this shopping center are such exciting destinations as the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and The Promenade at Westlake, the latter of which is another popular shopping center in the area.
When you are considering attending one of these events, check-in starts at 6:30PM with available seating areas being first come, first serve. Although check-in starts at this time, it’s important to be aware of the fact that the movies don’t usually begin until it becomes dark, which is typically around 7:45PM.
When setting out to The Lakes at Thousand Oaks, this venue can be found at 2200 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Parking options are located at the large lot situated behind the shopping center. Multiple entrances and exits to the parking lot are located on both Thousand Oaks Blvd. and South Conejo School Road. If you’re traveling from nearby and are driving down Ventura Fwy., you can take the exit that leads to the South Conejo School Road. You can either enter the parking lot to the left or wait until you turn left onto Thousand Oaks Blvd. and enter from there.
